My experience in the university has been a little strange. I did not do the first two courses of english for how I was in the initial test, so when I came to english three, it was all “new” for me. I did not know the teachers or the methodology of the program.   I have to say that I do not have good memories of the past course. The teacher of that class was not very pedagogical, so I enter to english four with mistrust, especially for the fact that I could not know who was going to be my teacher this semester and I only expected that was not the same. This course has been very different, I like the fact that the oral practice is an important part of the class. I considered that I need more oral practice, especially because I feel nervous when I have to say something in this language. When I was in school I did not speak english in my usuals class and that is something that all the english programs need to improve. Outside the english class, I speak very little english. I...

The English program of the university is required in all the careers. Today it is believed that learn english opens opportunities in the laboral field. I’m not too sure about this, I don’t think that someone must be defined for their english level, because there are many factors that  influenced the access to good courses of this language. Not all the people have the chance to have a good base in the school, so I think in the English of the university as a leveling course. For this, I considered that is very important to have a complete program and great teachers that have the abilities and the intentions to transmit their knowledge. I have to be honest in this blog, I don’t feel so agreed with the contents that the English courses incorporated, because it didn’t give you the necessary tools to really learn english. I always try to believe in the world, in the kindness inside the human being. My brother says that I am to idealist. Maybe it’s true. I like to believe that all the people can do good things. But I have to admit that is hard and I don’t always get this aim. The field that I study, the journalism, is just an example of how people manipulate others for their interestings. In the journalism, especially in the written medias, there are groups of powerful people that decided what to say, transmite and spread in the news. The concentration of information it’s a serious danger and violates the information right that all of us have. The type of journalist that is more common to see on the television and heard on the radio, includes professionals who have lied, manipulated and  ignored the reality. The journalism is a career that has different areas and that allow the journalists to choose what they want to do. This characteristic make possible to relate the journalist work with others disciplines.  Since I was little I enjoy studying, but not the school. However I always know that I want a career that allows me to learn continuously. When I was in my last school year I decided to study philosophy. I knew this career in my third year of high school  and I had a intelligent and wise teacher that used to upgrade my writing abilities. When I was little, I dreamed with being a professional dancer. I practiced with differents types of musics, but the “salsa”  is my favorite style. Although I enjoyed this very much, I was too shy for try this professionally. Now I dance in the parties and when I am in a place in which I feel comfortable. Thinking about this now, I realized that what I used to love about this career was the opportunity to travel around the world and to know people that is connected for the same passion. Also, the feelings that the music can evoke it is something that has always interested me. In this epoch of my life, If I have my perfect job this would be read all day, seriously. I think I would enjoy to write books, to construct stories that allow to people to travel to another places, cultures and times. The journalism is a complex profession, but I think that this is good because it makes the career has different areas and that the journalist can choose what they want to do. Inside this types, there is one in which I’m interest: the literary journalism. Since I have memory I love to read. In my room I have a library with poems, sciences fiction novels, mystery and stories of all kind. However, when I started to study journalism I stop reading those books because I didn’t have much free time - I still don’t -. Then I realize that I want to combine my love for literature and the journalism career, so the literary journalism is an excellent alternative for my future and my profession. For a few months my family and I saved money for a travel together. My twin brother and I worked and we finally got the money we needed. It was the best trip of my life. We went in february 2016 but the coastal air is still in my nose. The view of the beach La Herradura in Coquimbo is amazing, the sea has no waves and the sand is more thin. For eight days with my mom, my two brothers and my dog stayed in a little house, to five minutes of the beach. A little restaurant by the coast is part of one of my favorite memory. One night, we walked to see the ocean. Then we ate and drank with a softy light in the beautiful tables the restaurant had. Another moment that marked our trip was when we went to Elqui Valley. The sky and the air of that place is so pure that is impressive. We went to Vicuña, the town of Gabriela Mistral, and we knew the museum in her honor. When I started to study journalism, I didn’t expected anything, I didn’t dream with the power of this job like others of my partners. I was insecure, even a little disappointed. Maybe of the type of journalist that is more common to see on the television and heard on the radio, professionals who have lied, manipulated and  ignored the reality. In my first semester I read a book that help me to understand a few things. I love to read all kind of books since I have conscience to do it. I think that passing a page gives the satisfaction that you know something you didn’t know before. I’m losing the point. So, in that semester I had to read a lot. The experience of having a blog was a little strange for me, I never had one because I always feel that what I think about some situations it is personal and I was not sure of publish this thoughts in a public web site, because I prefer to talk in person with the other people and I feel some much better sharing this way what I think. In this curse, the blogs were a good toil to develop our abilities and helps us to structure our writing in an order. express us in a web site teach us to resume ours ideas and communicate those in a more clear way. I also think that all this blogs were a way of knowing my partners for middle of their publications, their experience and their opinions. I have very things that annoy me, the disrespect between the people and the indifference to the situations important of the present. But, of all that, I feel really outraged when I realize that the country in which I live gives television spaces to public figures that used them to discriminate other persons. The confrontation between the conductor of the program, “El interruptor”, José Miguel Villouta and the “Pastor Soto” is and example of that. I think that people like this “Pastor” have public spaces is dangerous for the construction of a more respectful nation. What makes the situation worse, for me, is that his ideas also represents to a presidential candidate, José Antonio Kast. It may seem like a isolated case but it is really an example of the violence that some people have to live every day for their sexual orientation, only for who they are. While I am ending the semester, I think in how it was, how I feel with my teachers and my courses, and in that thoughts I discovered what subject was my favorite: Critical Theory. Critical Theory was my prefer because it was where I learned most and about different themes, so this made it more interest for me. The course was about a tendency that was developed by different authors in the past century and that studied the possible ways of analyzing society.   Also, the teacher of this subject was great, he knows a lot and explains the contents in a deep and cool way. His experience, his books recommendations and his methodology benefited the course in an incredible form. The reflexions about the society, the economic model and the communications theories are an area that I am interest in developed in the future, so this course was a based for that project. The person that I admire is Gabriel García Márquez, a colombian journalist that received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1982 and created a new narrative gender, named the “magical realism” that it is part of the Latin American Boom. García Márquez was borned in Aracataca, Colombia in 1927 and he died in Mexico City in 2014. He was a journalist, writer and guionist that is known as one of the most important contributors in the Latin American literature. As journalist, the best known work of García Márquez was the publication, in the “Espectador” Daily, of fourteen chronicles that told the story of Luis Alejandro Velasco, a sailor that was in the shipwreck of the A.R.C. Caldas ship. This report inspired his book “ Story of a castaway ”, published in 1970. García Márquez published his most famous book in 1967, “A hundred years of solitude”. I’m not very good at cooking because, at home, it’s my older brother who has the talent and the abilities, so he is the one that cooks. And, if he is not in the house, my mom cooks, even when she doesn’t like it. However, time ago, I discovered that I really like to make desserts and I’m not bad at it. I have one special cake that I like to do. It’s a dessert of chocolate and almonds that I made the last year while I was alone. Although I left my family a piece of it. I love the chocolate so this recipe is perfect, and I do it when I have time and I’m alone, because I feel more comfortable cooking when there is nobody at home. I got the recipe from internet. First I melt butter with chocolate powder, sugar, water and almonds. Then I cover a pot with crushed crackers with that mix and I spread all of that in a tray that I let in the fridge for one hour. I'm going to spend a week in London and I planned the activities that I'm going to do.  In first two days, on thursday and on saturday I'm going to visit two places a day, included the London Eye! On wednesday, friday and sunday I'm just going to go to one place to enjoy it completely.  For all that I bought a London Pass that let me in on some places for free and a Oyster Travelcard which lowers the cost of transportation. This photo is a reminder of  the great grandfather I had, he was the best! I don’t have very pictures of him, because he didn't like it very much so I keep carefully every single of them. I took this photo with my cellphone very years ago but I can’t remember when exactly. In the picture is my grandfather with a hat and a tie that my brother and my cousin put him while he just let us do it what we want. Like every summer, my brother, my cousin and I went to my grandparents house to spend ours vacations with them. In the nights we used to play cards and share a wonderful moment together, and this photo is about one of those night, a very special one. My grandfather was very special for all of us and since he died of cancer almost six years ago, he used to remember him through pictures like this. I really like this image because is one of my best memories with him, a nice  memory of my childhood and the relation I have with all my family.

When I was a child I loved to see tv series. My mother told me that I liked very much “The rugrats”, specially the character of ‘Carlitos’. I even had I little toy of this personage that, according to my mom, I always had to have with me. A few years later, I used to sit in the living room with my brother and watch “Dragon Ball” and “Detective Conan”. This series are a very important part of my childhood because I used to see them with my two brothers and we talked about it all day. In the actually I sometimes watch the movies of “Conan”, because this serie is still in emission and every year a new film is release. In my childhood, I also used to see “Tom and Jerry” in the weekends. Sometimes, my aunt come to my house and watch this serie with me and my twin brother.
